The Wingate Group’s principal investment business unit identifies, assesses, structures, invests in and syndicates direct investment opportunities in the following areas:

Wingate’s Principal Investment approach utilises a small amount of its own funds and syndicates the balance of the investment with the Wingate Group’s clients and co-investors. As these investments are often highly sought after, Wingate is able to provide our clients with “privileged” access to participate in these syndicates.

Private Equity

Wingate’s key success factor in private equity investing is its ability to assist investees in achieving success, not only by providing capital, but by adding operational and strategic value through its executives’, associates’ and co-investors’ experience and networks.

Wingate’s private equity focus is on established, profitable businesses which can be expanded with the benefit of further capital and operational and strategic input.

Principal Trading, Underwriting and Placements

Wingate makes direct equity and derivative investments, selectively underwrites issues of securities and provides bridging facilities.

All investments are required to display an attractive risk:reward profile.

Property-backed Mezzanine Debt and Equity

Wingate Property Finance (“WPF”) is a specialist property debt provider, offering high-yielding first and second mortgage loan facilities of between A$500,000 and A$20 million. WPF operates as principal, syndicator and / or arranger of these facilities.

Wingate Property Finance provides fast turnaround and funding approvals in circumstances where traditional lending criteria make financing difficult to achieve. Wingate structures all of its facilities to align incentives, providing property investors and developers with the means for their project’s success.

Additionally Wingate invests equity alongside property owners and developers in suitable property developments.
